1 Corinthians 12:8-11 (ESV)
8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

  1. Gifts to Know: Wisdom, Knowledge, and Discerning of Spirits.
  2. Gifts to Do: Faith, Gifts of Healing, and Miracles.
  3. Gifts to Speak: Prophecy, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues.

Five Things we Need to Hear His Voice

1) Simple Relationship

• Reverence for the Lord is the prerequisite for spiritual understanding.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . . .

• Respecting God will lead to understanding. Proverbs 1:7

• Respecting God will lead to wisdom. Proverbs 9:10

• We are either learning to trust God more or we are drifting away from him.

2) Single-minded Worship

3) Set Apart Holiness

4) Sold-Out Hunger
