Victoria House of Palms

The goal of the Victoria House of Palms is to be a loving, nurturing, innovative, best-practices faith community that promotes life, breaks the cycle of untimely, unwanted pregnancy, and encourages Godly vision in the women God has entrusted to us.

Victoria House of Palms, is a 24/7 residential program that instills faith-based confidence and vision for expectant mothers. Our program provides the academic and life skills training, encouragement, and physical support they need to move them from instability to stability as they take their next step in life.

Who we serve

We designed our program to accommodate up to 7 expectant mothers,  from Victoria County and the surrounding counties who are in need of our support and can commit to a faith-based program of self-improvement, self-sustainment, and the protection of the most vulnerable in our society – their babies. We will select our mothers by how well they exemplify honesty, respect, and a willing heart.

Why we serve

Five percent of reproductive age women have an unintended pregnancy each year. That means that out of 1000 pregnancies, 45 are unintended. * *Guttmacher Institute

Many of these women face circumstances that cause survival to be their primary focus, and education . Of these, many will become homeless.  Those who want to support their babies often quit school and go to work at a minimum wage job.

The most important thing we can do to improve their chance of success is to provide a stable household environment. Our property, in Victoria, TX,  is the physical location for Victoria House of Palms. There, we will provide a safe, supportive environment for these mothers so they can complete their high-school diploma, GED, a higher education and/or provide these women with an employment opportunity. We are prepared to continue our assistance provided these women are accepted into and maintain full-time status in Victoria College , the University of Houston-Victoria, or any one of several internship programs with local area partners.
