Adopt-a-Block

Adopt-a-block is a grassroots volunteer program dedicated to serving our community members through practical acts of service within each adopted neighborhood.   Volunteers make it their mission to better the quality of life of every willing person on their block. This small effort, when coupled with of others, makes a huge impact and presence in a community. Our mission is to make Victoria the best place to live!

The second Saturday of every month, the adopt-a-block teams reach out in the spirit of service to those that live in the Queen City neighborhood.

We start out with a morning meeting at Faith Family Church at 9am to organize and prepare. At 10am, we head to the Queen City Park to begin “adopting” our blocks, and we wrap up by 12pm. Teams clean homes, paint over graffiti, make minor home repairs, organize games for the children and visit with the elderly.

Adopt-A-Block teams touch the lives of people by knocking on doors and simply asking: “How can we serve you?”
